Spring Fur

Seriously what is with this freaky weather?! First it’s hot-snow-rain-hail, then more rain all within a month. I just don’t know what to wear anymore as its Spring BUT I’M FREEZING!
Today I went to see a lovely, elderly lady across my road called Andy, she's French and oh gosh she has a vintage wardrobe to die for! I was thrilled when she let me come over to have a look at her fur collection! I went over to photograph her clothes for my uni work but I ended up leaving with a bag full of furry treats! This bag of furry treats consisted of a Beaver fur hat, a Sable fur collar (over 100 years old) and a Sable hand muff! I’m so spoilt and I will wear them all with pride- Thank you Andy!
I know it’s silly to think of the idea to wear fur in Spring time but I just wanted to show some of it off to you, to be honest with this awful chilly weather why the hell not?!

Keeping to the Paris theme I bought this Fox fur cropped jacket in Paris years ago- still to this day I have never worn it out the house- NAUGHTY!

Sable Fur hand Muff
And yes I am aware it would be absolutely obscene to wear the hand muff in Spring time- BUT HOW CUTE IS IT!?
You may think I have gone mad with all this Fur chat! I blame the sun, where the hell are you???

Happy Birthday Daddy

Today was my Dads birthday so we decided to go out for cocktails and champagne, followed by dinner at Harvey Nichols. I was so pleased that my order from LOVE had arrived just in time for this special occasion. Even better that I got a cheeky 20% off the dress- could this day get seriously any better?!
So I thought I would do an outfit post on what I wore for my Dads dinner before I ate so much that the dress probably wouldn’t fit anymore! And yes I wore Black, as per usual as my friends would say. PAH I don’t care I love this dress AND I added some Nude with the clutch and shoes- not all boring!

Easter or Essay?

Happy Easter Sunday and I hope everyone is enjoying their time off! Sadly I have that much University work (this bloody essay for one; on capitalism and sustainable markets is one of the most horrific pieces I have had to do) I still haven't had the chance to eat any chocolate today- not even a crumb. OUTRAGEOUS! Still time to catch up this evening, let’s not panic!
So last December I treated myself to a beautiful dress by Aqua Couture- which was a slight impulse buy as I actually didn’t give myself time to think about where the hell I was going to wear this beauty. It’s too nice to be wasted on a drunk student night in Northampton, but thankfully a couple of months later, last Friday to be precise, was my friends belated 21st Birthday. This was the perfect occasion for it to be worn- FINALLY!

Yes the fringing was a bloody nightmare getting into a taxi and yes I told all my girlfriends to be on “boob watch” as I thought I could have popped out… but it was all so worth it. The colour was also a very unusual choice for me as I would normally go straight for navy or black. All in all it was an absolutely fabulous night!

Afternoon Tea Darling?

Thought I would do a quick outfit post today, although Spring is supposed to be here- it has been kindly shat (excuse my terminology) on my new Spring/Summer wardrobe which consisted of numerous leg baring ensembles, due to the freak snow weather.
Today I went for afternoon tea with my parents at the wonderful Rudding Park- Although the sun was shining, it was still bloody freezing. Thankfully we had our tea in font of the roaring fire- Pure Bliss!
So keeping wrapped up, but not too many layers…

Turning Tables

First of all I would like to apologise for neglecting my blog- it has been a tough month and a half for me with university work, constantly getting poorly and dare I say: Silly MEN- Lets not go there. But all you need to know is I feel absolutely amazing at the moment and everything seems to be back on track and I’m a much stronger person- Finally!
Secondly, I have some absolutely fabulous news; I had an interview in Dalston, London at Soda Studios for a summer work placement the other week. The placement is working with the design team for Supremebeing™ which I’m proud to say I got the job! Yay-  a round of applause for me please! Take a peak at their website: http://www.supremebeing.com/

Finally, a small update on what I have been getting up to. A couple of weeks ago I worked with the designer of REDROCK where I modelled some of their clothing for ASOS- I had such a lovely day, constantly giggling, drinking tea and of course dressing up in some seriously cool clothes! Thank you REDROCK! Take a look at their website for some retail therapy: http://www.redrockfashion.com/
Here are some snaps from the shoot, enjoy.
