Cobalt

Cobalt is the primary colour this season to splash into your wardrobes! Blue is one of my favourite colours to wear- forgetting that I need to wear it more frequently- Luckily Marie Claire prompted me on this. Wearing the bold and vibrant colour can go into your makeup, the popular oversized jacket or just key pieces to brighten up your style. Many say the cool hue compliments brunettes and redheads especially- so I suppose this goes in my favour.

When searching for my shade of Cobalt I came across this cute dress from Topshop that had an adorable embroidered collar attached. This killed two birds with one stone as I have been drooling over the statement collar pieces in my trend magazines, particularly this one in the image below by Derek Lam- flipping splendid!

Lady Biker

This Autumn Winter, Alexander Wang shone with high shine leather and glossy biker jackets. Alberta Ferretti transported a masculine femininity with Femme Fatale leather. DKNY brought chic with generation-inspired leather, miniskirt suits and Calvin Klein incorporated minimalism with hour-glass shapes and A-line skirts.
The new leather trend conveys a strong powerful womanly figure coming out of the darkness into the light.
I thought an easy way for me to portray this was to invest in a new biker leather jacket. I found my darling one from Zara. It will be my new best friend at this moment in time as I sadly had to part with my old vintage one that had served me and my mother (previously) for nearly 20 years.
I adore how my new one has a gloss shine to it, meeting Alexander Wang’s idea of a glossy biker. I pared the jacket with my sexy-lethal pair of Kurt Geiger’s and worn look Calvin Klein Handbag.
Following the A-line feminine look I wore my cute vintage REDROCK Charlotte dress. I think the colour brings out the suggestion of autumn in bloom- fresh.

As you can see I have my hair in a Bun which since having my hair cut I can finally fit my mop into one of those doughnut things- Yes I am a proud looser!

Bejewelled Vintage

The sun has gone in, summer has ended, I’m cold- today my conscious thoughts were, “PUT THOSE FLIPPIN’ LEGS AWAY!” So if I can’t have my legs out today- which I’m very reluctant to do, I’m wearing my bejewelled vintage top to convey the sunshine back into my life! I’m completely into Balmain’s Autumn Winter collection, with the seriously embellished coats and dresses. I suppose that will make up for the fact summer was so short-lived due to the lack of sunshine.

Getting into the D.I.Y mood I added some green fly earrings to the collar tips of my vintage shirt.
We can always rely on the shine from heavy embellishment- forget the sun!
