When One Door Closes, Another Opens

Well this is an embarrassingly overdue blog post, apologies! What a busy last few months I have had, I just don’t know where to start.
I won’t bore you with my habit of telling every detail of every part of stories, but what I will tell you is this:
I have finally finished my BA Honours Fashion degree which came out with the classification of a First! I really worked my arse off on my final collection and I was selected to showcase on the catwalk of Graduate Fashion Week in London. This was one of my proudest moments for me and it gave me the opportunity to rub shoulders with industry and have a small taste of what the future holds for when I finally venture out into the job world (the thought gives me a mini heart attack).
My collection focus point was using the materials of fur and leather; I explored different ways working with fur… I will bore you with that in another post.
Starting September I will be moving on from my University to another to embark on a Masters in Fashion, I’m so excited and I can’t wait to explore my specialism in fur and leather even further.
Anyway; I tried to be brief as possible, here’s a quick simple outfit post.

And I'm off to the races Cases of Bacardi chasers Chasin' me all over town

This June was my beautiful friend’s 21st Birthday shin dig at The York Races. I had never actually had the chance to go to this event before, so when I found out this was what we were doing I was quite the excited girl!
First things first, I wanted to wear a big floppy hat that resembled Audrey Hepburn in the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s- You know the one! So I was delighted to find a hat in Zara when I decided to get my arse down there to stock up on some Spring/Summer clothes. I really feel this season Zara have got it down to a T for summer party dresses! I also bought a gorgeous white skater dress where the whole back panel was lace, matched up with the top half at the front- very girly! My hat was black so I thought knowing English weather IT WILL, dare I say it, RAIN! I was right. Luckily I paired my ensemble up with a black tailored Zara Jacket (pretty standard thing for me to do) and some high- black paintent Kurt Geiger’s along with my Reiss Clutch and Moschino belt.
Although it rained the day was bloody fantastic! Pimms, Champagne, carvery and a spot of betting was what the day consisted of- and the very loud screaming, squealing and chanting on our behalf when winning races- yes we are very well behaved ladies!

Afternoon Tea Darling?

Thought I would do a quick outfit post today, although Spring is supposed to be here- it has been kindly shat (excuse my terminology) on my new Spring/Summer wardrobe which consisted of numerous leg baring ensembles, due to the freak snow weather.
Today I went for afternoon tea with my parents at the wonderful Rudding Park- Although the sun was shining, it was still bloody freezing. Thankfully we had our tea in font of the roaring fire- Pure Bliss!
So keeping wrapped up, but not too many layers…

Show ya Mo’

Gosh, what a week it has been! I literally have been so stressed over university work- anticipation for my blaaaady grades- so far so good, pretty chuffed with myself on the feedback I have recently received. I can now just chill out… NOT.
We have started a whole new live module which is quite important- so today I had to drag myself out of my toasty warm bed to get my tired arse down in London. This was for a whole day of store reports and V&A fashion archive exploration.
Store reports- successful, V&A fashion archive- unsuccessful- blugghh. The museum have decided to referb the section with all the clothes so it is shut down at the moment- great- NOT. So me and my pal Rosie decided to check out the gift shop for some post card inspo for our work- forget the post cards I FOUND A LEATHER MOUSTACHE. You may think I have gone a little crazy but I’m slightly obsessed with moustaches- anything with them on- jewellery, T-shirts, mugs- you name it- weirdly not so keen on the real thing, seriously boys shave that thing off!
Anyway thought I would just step away from my uni work for tonight and show you my Mo’!
